Class Schedule

All Heartcode online classes are completed from your work or personal computer, tablet and phone. You do not havr to report to a location at the time stated to complete the online session. The Hearcode session is the only in person portion of the Heartcode courses.

 

 

This class is recommended for students that will be taking an ACLS or PALS class in the near future. The class cirriculum will cover arrhythmias and then discuss scenarios based on rhythms and then cover medications used in ACLS and PALS.

In this classroom-based course, providers enhance their skills in treating adult victims of cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies, while earning their American Heart Association ACLS (AHA ACLS) for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card.

Due to an increasing number of low post scores in ACLS and PALS classes, we are changing class protocols and schedules.

  1. ECG & Pharmacology is considered a prerequisite for attending ACLS and PALS classes for the first time. (These courses are available but not required for those who have previously passed ACLS and PALS courses.)
  2. ACLS and PALS classes will be offered in a one day format; however, any student who does not pass the post-test with at least an 84% or who does not demonstrate proficiency in the MegaCode skills test will be required to return the following day for a four hour remediation and repeat testing

This classroom-based course uses a scenario-based, team approach to teach pediatric emergency management of patients approaching or already in respiratory or cardiac arrest.

This blended course was formed on behalf of the AHA and Miami University Gordon Center. ASLS blened course is designed for healthcare providers who care for patients with acute stroke, and its meets the education requirements for Stroke Center Certification. Through instruction and active participation in simulated cases, students will ehnace their skills in the recognition and intervention of stroke.

 

Course Goal:

The goal of ASLS Blended Learning is to improve outcomes for patients for patients with stroke by using early recognition and interventions.

This is the American Red Cross Babysitting Course. During this course the participant will learn CPR and First Aid, how to relieve choking, problem solving, job professionalism, bottle feeding, infant care, and more. Participants MUST BE 11 YEARS OF AGE or older.  

This is an AHA skills(hands-on) evaluation session to test the skills of the individual that has completed and passed the ACLS knowledge exam from the ACLS online session.

This course is to give you the knowledge and preparation for the skills session.
